Perfect weather and friendly atmosphere for this 81st year of the Fête de l’Humanité, that has been held last weekend, from 9th to 11th september at La Courneuve.

A large public, more than half a million, was there to listen The Chemical Brothers, Michel Polnareff, Lauryn Hill, Souchon&Voulzy,…and walk around the different political actors’ booths.

Three days of debates and meetings for the leaders of the anti-Hollande left, in the tense political context of the new season and only eight months before the 2017 presidential election.

Many of the participants want to believe in a united left but many disagreements were perceptibles between leaders like Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Arnaud Montebourg and Pierre Laurent.

When it comes to militants, young communists appeared united behind one key watchword : « Everyone but Hollande ». In the absence of any influential left-wing personality, they are all preparing themselves to the possibility of a second round opposing François Hollande to Marine Le Pen. Faced with this situation, some of them are already claiming their choice, between a blank vote and a useful one…
